Sea of Tuscany - The Pisan Coast
| The sea and... a surprise. An unexpected oasis, the natural park of San Rossore. In the varying landscape along the Tuscan coast, this forest by the sea is really quite extraordinary. |

Once upon a time this area was covered by the sea and the home to prehistoric sharks, but today we meet fallow and roe deer, boars and foxes in the unspoilt woodland. Just think, a dense web of pine, oak, poplar and ash protected by high sand dunes with oyster catchers, gannets, ducks and seagulls flying overhead. And all this just half an hour away from important cities of art. |
| After immersing
yourself in nature, the riviera of Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa await you. A strip of quartz beach, with thick pine woods giving a sense of calm and behind you Pisa and its imposing monuments. This is a chance you cannot miss, not just because of Piazza dei Miracoli and the famous tower, but also for other superb treasures such as the Certosa at Calci with its natural history museum. To reach the sea once more you can take a walk along the last stretch of the Arno and at the mouth watch eel fishing and taste their delicious flavour. |
